Overview
FloQast is a close management and compliance platform built for corporate accounting teams, founded in 2013 by CPAs Mike Whitmire and Chris Sluty. It layers over a company's existing ERP and Excel workbooks to organize the month-end close into checklists, automate account reconciliations, and manage SOX and related compliance work from one place.
The product is organized around close orchestration (task assignment, sign-offs, real-time collaboration, dashboards), automated reconciliations under the AutoRec brand (AI transaction matching, amortization/depreciation calculation, balance tie-outs), journal entry and variance workflows, and a Connected Compliance module that centralizes SOX control evidence collection, risk scoring, and controls testing across multiple frameworks. FloQast has more recently added configurable, no-code AI agents for tasks such as data consolidation, lease and debt schedules, and commission calculations.
FloQast reports serving 2,600+ accounting teams globally, including Twilio, Zoom, Snowflake, Instacart, HubSpot and PulteGroup, and holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications alongside an early ISO 42001 AI-governance certification.

Strengths & considerations
Strengths
- Built for NetSuite verified SuiteApp and an SAP-certified integration (built on SAP Business Technology Platform) for S/4HANA, rather than third-party middleware
- Combines close management, automated reconciliation (AutoRec) and SOX/compliance (Connected Compliance) on one platform instead of separate point tools
- Founded and led by CPAs (Mike Whitmire, Chris Sluty), positioned around how accounting teams already work in Excel rather than replacing it
- Holds ISO 42001 AI-governance certification alongside SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and ISO 27701
- Reports automating 65%+ of controls in real time for customers who combine the Close and Connected Compliance modules
Considerations
- Pricing is not published and requires a sales demo, driven by modules selected, close/reconciliation volume and team size
- Third-party implementation reviews note that checklist-driven close can add overhead for organizations with very large numbers of legal entities, positioning FloQast most strongly for mid-market rather than the most complex enterprise structures
ERP integrations
Connects via native NetSuite APIs (not third-party middleware) to pull trial balance data for reconciliations
Also connects to SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud and SAP ECC; GL trial balances flow into FloQast for reconciliation
Also supports Dynamics GP, AX and NAV via FloQast Connect
Pricing
Pricing is not published; sold via a demo-led sales process, priced by modules selected, close/reconciliation volume and team size, typically on annual contracts. Get an independent shortlist with pricing guidance below.
