An independent ERP audit and recovery for a Canadian food manfucturer
Manufacturing, Distribution (food importing and wholesale)Challenge: A manufacturer and distributor of specialty food, serving retail and wholesale with its own processing line, knew its Odoo ERP wasn’t performing as it should. The system had been set up, but not around how the team actually worked, so staff relied on workarounds instead of getting value from software they were already paying for.
Solution: Cyberlobe spent time on-site and mapped day-to-day workflows against how Odoo was configured.
The audit pinpointed where the system was misconfigured, underused or creating unnecessary manual work.
The aim was to bring the existing ERP back on track rather than replace it.
The client then engaged Cyberlobe to make the roadmap changes in their existing Odoo ERP, and Cyberlobe now serves as the company’s fractional CIO, leading its technology direction on an ongoing basis.
Result: The audit gave the owner a clear, prioritized recovery roadmap and confidence that the existing system could work with the right changes. The owner also engaged Cyberlobe from a one-time audit to hands-on ERP recovery and an ongoing fractional CIO role.
Modernizing systems across a 10-office occupational therapy network
Healthcare (occupational therapy)Challenge: One of largest occupational therapy networks, with ten offices, was managing clinical documents, patient data and internal operations across several disconnected platforms.
Staff were producing around 150 invoices a day by hand, there were no standard operating procedures, and clinical rooms were regularly double-booked.
The result was higher costs, wasted time and complex data governance.
Solution: Acting as the network’s fractional CIO, Cyberlobe evaluated the options, negotiated with vendors on the client’s behalf, and brought their clinical tools together in one cloud-based system.
It wrote standard operating procedures with a regular review schedule, set up automated room booking with real-time availability, and put in a central HR system covering onboarding, performance, leave and payroll.
Existing case notes and paperwork were migrated into the new system, and the project was supported by grant funding that Cyberlobe helped secure.
Result: Operational consistency rose, case management efficiency also saw a jump, and overall operational efficiency improved by 25%. Data management complexity fell, and double bookings were eliminated.
