Walraven

A legacy ERP used for over two decades plus an in-house EDI tool requiring extensive developmentDynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management

more than 12,000 products

customers

Challenge: Walraven, an installation-systems manufacturer serving customers in over 20 countries, handled at least 10,000 sales order lines a month but its in-house EDI tool could not integrate with D365, new-customer onboarding took up to four months, and a two-decade-old legacy ERP needed integrating with its new D365 F&SCM.

Solution: Walraven adopted To-Increase Connectivity Studio to link internal applications and migrate legacy ERP data into D365 F&SCM with validation, and EDI Studio so the sales back office could automate EDI communication, monitor messages and onboard trading partners without IT help.

Results: Walraven standardised EDI within D365 F&SCM, reduced internal cost per sales order line, shortened EDI connection time, and states it increased sales turnover and orders per salesperson with the same headcount.

With EDI Studio, we were able to increase our sales turnover as well as the order per sales person, while keeping the same amount of sales people and keeping our bottom line cost at the same level.

On-premises Dynamics platform with a heavily customised BI data warehouse (Targit)Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management

Thermopatch kept its existing Targit BI application and legacy tools while migrating to the cloud, and makes data-extraction changes without a programmer, which the company credits with a faster go-live.

Challenge: Thermopatch, a garment branding manufacturer established in 1934, faced costly, error-prone data extraction when migrating to cloud Dynamics 365 F&O: years of BI customisation meant numerous data entities would have to be rewritten to keep its existing Targit data warehouse.

Solution: To-Increase Data Modeling Studio let Thermopatch manage table and field selections and refresh frequency in-house, exporting Dynamics data to a single Azure data warehouse without working through data entities.

Results: Thermopatch kept its existing Targit BI application and legacy tools while migrating to the cloud, and makes data-extraction changes without a programmer, which the company credits with a faster go-live.

We wanted to independently manage the table and field selections and the frequency at which the data would be refreshed. For instance, we wanted to work on any problem, new feature, or change in an application without third-party involvement. And Data Modeling Studio has done a great job providing that solution with the tool and post-live support.
