Overview

Rivery is a cloud-based ELT (extract, load, transform) platform for building data pipelines that move data between operational systems, including ERPs, and cloud data warehouses or data lakes. It combines managed data ingestion, SQL- and Python-based transformation, visual workflow orchestration, and reverse ETL in a single no-code interface, positioned by the vendor as a full data-stack alternative to stitching together separate ingestion, transformation and orchestration tools.

The platform documents 200+ native connectors spanning databases, SaaS applications and enterprise systems. On the ERP side it ships prebuilt connectors for NetSuite (via the SuiteAnalytics Connect and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks APIs), several SAP products (SAP ERP, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur), Oracle (with an optional log-based CDC replication mode), and Sage Intacct, extracting data into destinations such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics. Reverse ETL functionality lets teams push transformed data, for example enriched CRM or marketing records, back into operational systems such as NetSuite.

Rivery (founded 2017, previously headquartered in New York) was acquired by Boomi in December 2024 for an estimated $100 million. Boomi now markets the platform as Boomi Data Integration, while the product continues to operate under the Rivery brand and domain (rivery.io) alongside that rebrand.

Features & capabilities

Data Ingestion

Connecting to and pulling data from source systems.

  • 200+ native connectors across databases, SaaS applications and files
  • Managed API connectors with auto-mapped schema
  • Change Data Capture (CDC) replication for supported databases, including Oracle
  • Prebuilt ERP connectors: NetSuite, SAP (ERP/ECC/HANA/BW/SuccessFactors/Concur), Oracle, Sage Intacct
  • No-code source configuration via credential-based connections
  • Selection of predefined reports or custom saved searches for extraction (e.g. NetSuite Saved Searches)

Data Transformation

Modeling and reshaping data once it lands.

  • SQL-based transformation steps (SQL Query, SQL Script)
  • Python script steps for custom logic, with pandas/numpy support
  • Rivery DataFrames for passing data between SQL and Python steps
  • Automated schema creation on load
  • Incremental load management
  • Reusable transformation templates ("Kits")

Data Orchestration

Sequencing and scheduling multi-step pipelines.

  • Visual workflow builder ("Rivers") with conditional logic
  • Loop-over and container steps for iterating across datasets
  • Advanced scheduling of pipeline runs
  • Multiple environments (e.g. Dev/Prod) for promoting pipelines
  • Variables management across a workflow
  • Version history on individual pipeline objects

Reverse ETL & Activation

Pushing processed data back into operational systems.

  • Push warehouse data into operational apps via API
  • Documented reverse-ETL path from sources like HubSpot or Salesforce into NetSuite
  • Same no-code pipeline builder used for both ingestion and activation

DataOps & Governance

Operating and securing pipelines at scale.

  • Monitoring dashboard and activity/run logs
  • Role-based access control and unlimited users (Professional tier and above)
  • Single Sign-On and SCIM provisioning (Pro Plus tier and above)
  • PrivateLink and Reverse SSH connectivity (Pro Plus tier and above)
  • VPN tunnels for network-isolated sources (Enterprise tier)
  • API and CLI access for CI/CD-driven pipeline management

Common use cases

  • Extracting NetSuite financial and operational data into Snowflake or BigQuery for centralized reporting
  • Replicating SAP ECC, SAP HANA or SAP BW data into a cloud warehouse without custom ABAP extraction code
  • Building a reverse-ETL pipeline that pushes enriched CRM or marketing records back into NetSuite
  • Extracting Sage Intacct data for consolidated, multi-entity financial reporting outside the ERP
  • Using log-based CDC to replicate Oracle database changes into a warehouse with minimal source impact
  • Combining SQL and Python transformation steps in one pipeline to model ERP data before it reaches BI tools
  • Standing up ERP-to-warehouse pipelines without a dedicated data engineering team, using the no-code builder

Strengths & considerations

Strengths

  • Combines ingestion, SQL/Python transformation, orchestration and reverse ETL in one platform rather than separate tools
  • Usage-based BDU (Boomi Data Unit) credit pricing with no per-connector or per-user charge on paid tiers
  • Now backed by Boomi's iPaaS platform following the December 2024 acquisition, positioning it inside Boomi's broader integration and data-management stack
  • No-code interface paired with optional Python/SQL scripting steps for teams that need custom logic
  • Free-to-start Base and Professional tiers plus a 14-day/1,000-credit trial, without requiring a sales call to begin

ERP integrations

Prebuilt connector (SuiteAnalytics Connect / SuiteAnalytics Workbooks API)NetSuite → destination; reverse ETL supported (data → NetSuite)

Supports predefined reports and NetSuite Saved Searches for fields not exposed via the standard API; reverse ETL can push data such as CRM records back into NetSuite.

Prebuilt connectors (separate connector per SAP product)SAP → destination

Separate documented connectors cover SAP ERP, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Concur.

Prebuilt connector; log-based CDC replication optionOracle → destination

CDC mode supports near-real-time replication; standard SQL-based extraction is also available. Oracle CDC is called out specifically on the Enterprise pricing tier.

Prebuilt connectorSage Intacct → destination

Credential-based connection with predefined-report or custom-data extraction.
