Per-User Subscription Pricing
This ERP uses named-user or concurrent-user licensing. You pay a monthly or annual fee for each person who accesses the system. Cost scales directly with headcount — adding users increases your subscription. Most cloud ERPs use this model. Negotiating based on committed user count and contract length typically secures better rates. Be sure to understand which users need 'full' access vs 'limited' access, as vendors often price these tiers differently.

About QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Pricing
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is licensed per user per year, and Intuit has stopped publishing flat annual prices on its own pricing page — so every figure now needs confirming with Intuit or a reseller. Single-user list pricing as of mid-2026 runs about $1,873 for Silver (up from $1,703), around $2,210 for Gold, around $2,717 for Platinum, and Diamond is custom-quoted at roughly $5,200 or more and billed monthly. Two changes matter for 2026 budgets: the across-the-board increase, and a new per-employee fee applying to Gold and Platinum from 1 February 2026. Once additional users, payroll and hosting are added, most firms land between $3,000 and $10,000 a year. Advanced Inventory, which is the main reason manufacturers and distributors choose Platinum, is bundled into that tier rather than sold separately.
What Drives QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Pricing?
- 1Tier — Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond, with Advanced Inventory gated to Platinum
- 2Number of users, since the licence is per user per year
- 3The new per-employee fee on Gold and Platinum from February 2026
- 4Hosting, if you run it in the cloud rather than on your own server
- 5Payroll, which is included at some tiers and billed separately at others
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Module Availability & Pricing Impact
Each additional module increases your QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise subscription cost. Modules rated “Strong” are core capabilities; “Basic” modules may require add-ons or third-party integrations.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Pros & Cons
Advantages
- Advanced Inventory on Platinum covers multi-location stock, bins and barcoding
- Familiar to almost every US bookkeeper, so staffing and support are trivial
- Runs on-premise or hosted, which suits businesses that will not move to cloud
Considerations
- Priced per user per year and rising — Silver moved from $1,703 to $1,873 in 2026
- A per-employee fee applies to Gold and Platinum from February 2026
- Not a true ERP — no manufacturing scheduling, no quality, no field service
