Published Subscription Pricing
This product publishes its prices. Plans are sold per company or per licence rather than per named user, so the tier you need is usually decided by transaction volume, feature depth or a bundled user allowance rather than by headcount. That makes cost unusually predictable — but check the allowance carefully, because exceeding a plan's cap on users, invoices or orders forces a jump to the next tier rather than an incremental charge. Published list prices are also the starting point for annual-billing discounts, which are common in this segment.

About Xero Pricing
Xero's defining commercial feature is that every plan includes unlimited users, so cost does not scale with headcount at all — a genuine structural difference from QuickBooks and from per-seat ERP. US list pricing from 1 March 2026 is Early $25/month, Growing $55/month and Established $90/month. What tiers the plans is transaction volume and feature depth rather than seats: Early caps you at 20 invoices and 5 bills a month, which most real businesses breach immediately, so Growing is the practical entry point. Multicurrency, projects, expense claims and analytics are reserved for Established, and Xero Payroll is a separate subscription in most markets. Xero is materially stronger in the UK and Australia than in the US, both in accountant familiarity and local compliance.
What Drives Xero Pricing?
- 1Plan tier, driven by invoice and bill volume rather than user count
- 2Whether you need multicurrency, projects or expense claims — all Established-only
- 3Payroll, billed separately and priced per employee in most markets
- 4Third-party apps for inventory and stock, which Xero itself barely covers
- 5Market — UK and Australian pricing and feature bundling differ from the US list
Xero Module Availability & Pricing Impact
Each additional module increases your Xero subscription cost. Modules rated “Strong” are core capabilities; “Basic” modules may require add-ons or third-party integrations.
