productivity increase

Challenge: The Fortune 500 luxury homebuilder ran an outdated JD Edwards World ERP that was approaching the end of Oracle support, across a fragmented estate spanning more than 60 markets in 24 states. Leadership wanted one integrated platform with complete and timely data to support expansion.

Solution: JD Edwards EnterpriseOne was selected, but the first modernization attempt missed the required timelines. Argano built an automated, repeatable data conversion process, mapping over 11 legacy systems into E1, and delivered enhancements to the sales and design studio platforms. It now provides 24/7/365 help desk and managed services.

Results: Argano reports revenue doubled from $5 billion to $10 billion with flat headcount, productivity up almost 40%, home deliveries per employee rising from 1.6 to 2.2, revenue per employee up almost 60% from $1.4 million to $2.2 million, and SG&A as a share of revenue falling from 12.4% to 9%. Attribution is shared with the ERP programme rather than isolated to it.

Argano brought a strategic approach to the implementation, strong project management and smart subject matter experts. The team has done a phenomenal job and Argano has always delivered.

Challenge: The Berkshire Hathaway agricultural supply business had run JD Edwards World since 1997 across finance, procurement, inventory, payroll and manufacturing configuration. Heavy JDE use alongside third-party applications produced outages, and both updates and JDE-skilled staff were hard to come by.

Solution: Argano mapped CTB's existing JDE footprint to Oracle Cloud applications, identifying consolidation and automation opportunities and quantifying the business value of migrating. Phase one delivered Oracle Cloud EPM and HCM; phase two added Oracle Cloud ERP (Financials, Project Management), Oracle Cloud SCM (Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Order Management, Procurement, Inventory Management) and Fusion Analytics, with work on Oracle Transportation Management, Oracle CPQ and RF-SMART.

Results: Argano describes the phased migration as completed without disrupting the business, giving CTB a natively integrated end-to-end platform on quarterly Oracle update cycles. The write-up states no quantified outcome figures.

Challenge: Belkin's Logility-based supply chain planning could not keep pace with a product portfolio that turns over almost monthly across more than 50 countries. It needed new product introduction planning, sell-in and sell-through forecasting, constrained supply planning and automated order allocation.

Solution: Argano deployed Oracle Cloud SCM modules covering supply planning, demand management, global order promising and backlog management to support a global collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment process, with a single view of global inventory enabling internal parts transfers and consolidated purchasing.

Results: Oracle Supply Planning and Demand Management are live, with frequent data exchange between Oracle Cloud SCM and Oracle EBS. Argano reports faster decision-making, better data integrity and wider user adoption, with Global Order Promising and Backlog Management planned. No quantified outcomes are published.

Challenge: The direct retailer of party supplies, toys and crafts was running unsupported JD Edwards World green-screen systems and depended on specialist skills that were becoming scarce. It wanted a supported cloud platform that would take regular updates without interrupting trading.

Solution: Argano reassessed an in-flight ERP project and redesigned the approach around a phased Oracle Cloud deployment. Wave one covered Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, Indirect Procurement and Procurement Contracts; wave two added Oracle Cloud SCM for supply and demand planning, inventory, procurement, trade operations and product data hub. Oracle Integration Cloud connected legacy applications and the shipping consolidator.

Results: Argano reports better decision support from more usable data and improved procurement processes, with 50-plus high-volume integrations running on Oracle Integration Cloud. Further modules and Argano managed services, including automated quarterly testing, were being prepared at the time of publication. No financial outcomes are disclosed.
