Overview
IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (InfoSphere MDM) is an enterprise master data management platform that consolidates, matches and governs critical data domains -- customers, products, suppliers and locations -- across multiple source systems into a single trusted view. It is aimed at large enterprises that run master data across several applications (ERPs, CRMs, e-commerce) and need one authoritative record to feed back into those systems.
The platform is offered in Standard and Advanced editions. Standard Edition supports registry-style implementations for faster time to value, aggregating and linking records without physically consolidating them. Advanced Edition supports all implementation styles (registry, coexistence and centralized/transactional hub), building a single "golden record" that other applications can read from and write to. It includes matching and survivorship logic to resolve duplicate and conflicting records, a data stewardship console with configurable workflows for manual review and remediation, and dashboards for monitoring master data quality.
InfoSphere MDM is part of the broader IBM InfoSphere Information Server family and can be deployed on IBM Cloud Pak for Data, on-premises, or as a cloud-managed offering.
