Overview
Fyle is a card-agnostic expense management platform founded in 2016 that lets businesses keep their existing credit card programs while automating expense capture and reconciliation. In July 2025, Fyle was acquired by Sage and is now also offered as Sage Expense Management.
Fyle's distinctive capability is real-time credit card feeds: through direct integrations with the Visa, Mastercard and American Express networks, it captures and notifies on card transactions the moment a card is swiped, then prompts the cardholder to submit a receipt (including via text message). This enables real-time reconciliation without requiring companies to switch to a proprietary card.
The platform covers receipt submission, expense tracking, policy compliance, approvals and reimbursement, and offers in-app expense submission through Slack, Teams, Gmail and text. It integrates natively with accounting and ERP systems including QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite and Sage Intacct, targeting small and mid-sized businesses.
