Sage Add-Ons & Marketplace Apps

Updated July 2026 · By the ERP Research Editorial Team · Independent and vendor-neutral — no vendor pays for placement or ranking.

Sage add-ons are third-party applications that extend Sage's ERP range — Sage X3, Sage 200, Sage 100 and Sage 300 — with capability the core products leave thin, such as AP automation, AR collections, construction management and expense handling. They integrate through each product's API or SDK, and vetted apps are listed on the Sage Marketplace.

“Sage add-ons” is really four conversations, because Sage sells four unrelated ERP codebases. Sage X3 serves mid-market manufacturing and distribution; Sage 200 is a UK and Ireland mid-market product; Sage 100 and Sage 300 are long-established North American systems with deep, mature ISV channels. An add-on built for Sage 100 has no relationship to Sage X3, so every page below states which products a vendor actually supports.

Regional split is the second trap. Sage's product availability, marketplaces and ISV communities differ sharply between North America, the UK and mainland Europe — a highly-rated Sage 200 add-on may simply not exist in your market. These comparisons flag geographic coverage alongside functional fit.

The Sage Marketplace vs an independent directory

The Sage Marketplace is the official catalogue of ISV add-ons across the Sage range, and it is the right place to confirm that an app exists for your specific Sage product and region. It is regionalised, so the US and UK marketplaces list meaningfully different apps. What it does not do is compare rival ISVs, distinguish a flagship product from a thin connector, or judge whether your Sage product already handles the job. The category pages below take those questions on directly.

Frequently asked questions

Do Sage add-ons work across Sage X3, 200, 100 and 300?

Almost never. These are separate codebases with separate APIs and separate ISV communities — an add-on is built for one Sage product, occasionally two. Some larger vendors ship distinct editions per product with uneven feature parity. Always verify the exact Sage product, version and region on the vendor's Marketplace listing before shortlisting anything.

How do Sage add-ons integrate?

It depends entirely on the product. Sage X3 exposes web services and a development framework; Sage 200 integrates through its API and a well-established UK partner channel; Sage 100 and Sage 300 have mature SDK-based ISV ecosystems, with some add-ons embedding deeply into the desktop products. Ask how the integration behaves at upgrade time — SDK-level customisation is where Sage upgrade pain concentrates.

Is Sage Intacct covered here?

No. Sage Intacct is a separate cloud product with its own Marketplace, its own Web Services API and a different buyer profile, so it has its own add-on directory on this site. If you run Intacct rather than X3, 200, 100 or 300, use the Sage Intacct pages — the vendor sets barely overlap.
