Overview

Signeasy is an electronic signature and contract management platform that lets businesses prepare, send, sign, track, and store agreements digitally. Beyond collecting legally binding signatures, it provides a centralized contract repository with folders, tagging, and search, plus renewal tracking and AI-based contract insights that extract key terms and summarize documents. The product is used across sales, legal, HR, finance, procurement, and IT teams, and is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign.

The platform is delivered as cloud software with native iOS and Android apps that support biometric verification and in-person signing. Teams work in shared workspaces with role-based access control, reusable templates, preset workflows, approvals, signing order, and bulk send. Signing recipients do not need a Signeasy account, and every completed document carries an audit trail and a tamper-evident trust seal. Reporting covers document status, usage, and weekly summaries with CSV export.

For developers, Signeasy offers a REST eSignature API with embedded signing (via iframe, pop-up, new tab, or webview), webhooks for signature lifecycle events, reusable templates, merge fields, and custom branding. A free sandbox, Postman collection, and developer dashboard support build and test. The API is sold on its own usage-based plans separate from the end-user product, making Signeasy usable both as a standalone signing tool and as embedded signing inside another application.

Strengths & considerations

Strengths

  • Combines eSignature with a contract repository, renewal tracking, and AI insights rather than signing alone
  • Positioned as a lower-cost alternative to DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign
  • Standalone REST API with embedded signing sold separately for developers building signing into their own apps
  • Mobile-first heritage with iOS/Android apps supporting biometric verification and in-person signing
  • Recipients sign without needing a Signeasy account

Considerations

  • Higher-volume needs, SSO, HIPAA, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 require the custom 'Build Your Plan' tier rather than self-serve plans
  • AI contract insights are available from the Business tier and above, not the entry plans
  • Contract lifecycle management is lighter than dedicated CLM suites (no native redlining/negotiation)
  • Data residency location is not publicly documented on the security page
  • API request limits on lower tiers may require an upgrade for production volume
